So I had a new member of our team here ask a good question:

‘I hear a lot about protein, but why is it actually important’?

 

Its key for everyone, including you, regardless of your specific training goal

HERE’S WHY….

 

Well that soreness you get a day or two after you’ve trained?

The kind which makes you get outta bed like a chimp?

 

Well consuming protein, immediately after you’ve trained reduces this

 

Get hungry easier?

Well protein is a star at filling you up

That’s why nutrition with more protein in = greater results in body composition

It makes your fuller and less likely to snack on the quality streets at work

 

Take it around training and it also promotes recovery from an energy perspective

By allowing your body to soak up more carbohydrate…

This restores key energy stores superiorly

So your not as grouchy the next day AND

So for your next session your energized, ready to roll

 

Oh and of course, it aids improvements in strength!

After you’ve resistance trained your body creates signals in your cells

This magic lasts for longer if you’ve had protein around training

This means your more likely to get better gains from the effort you’ve put into your training

 

So 4 great reasons why protein is key for all fitness related goals

Consume either during or after training

And ensure your nutrition daily has a key source in each meal and snack

 

Feel less sore, have more energy, get stronger, be leaner, reap the rewards!!!

 

This is one key thing I look for in the nutrition analysis I do at C.P with every team member

Typically it needs improving, but a way which is specific to that individual
