A lesson in Success from Mick…
I wanna share with you some news
Which you can learn a lesson from
So after 19 hours and 27 minutes…
Mick Dawson…
(the guy who I’ve been fitness and performance coaching)
And his team mate Steve…
Completed the Devizes to Westminster Kayak race
(in prep for their Falklands kayak next Janury)
Why tell you this?
Well you know when you first start new training regime?
A new diet?
The change you need to make can often seem bloody crap?
Fitting it in around work?
Getting up a bit earlier in the morning?
It seems like such a commitment
Overwhelming
I get it…
Recently with me physical fitness and performance coaching full time
And working to get the Coalition Performance Training Facility open
(big developments on this coming very shortly)
Fitting in time to do stuff has just felt overwhelming
But you know what?
I’ve adapted…
These new commitments are now the norm
And we’re moving forward at a rate of knots!
Its just the same for you…
Despite the initial stress of your nutrition and training…
Maybe the long runs…
The tough gym strength sessions
You’ll adapt
You’ll develop your physicallt
You’ll be able to not just handle it, but dominate it
And even better…
You’ll get the PB’s and lifetime best performances in your sport
(and you won’t fall apart like sensitive snowflake)
You just gotta keep going…
Its like with Mick
In 2009 he rowed from Japan to USA….
The whole Pacific Ocean, with one other guy!
It took 189 days
He says how initially it was overwhelming
The size of the task alone is immense!
But…
He just kept on going
(even after he failed and nearly died the first time!)
And like you can do
Those things which were once tough…
They became the norm, no big deal
And he achieved
So can you
Made it this far?
Maybe you’re the rare, determined person who knows what success requires?
The kind person who loves working with likeminded people?
This is what the Coalition Performance Training Facility will embrace 🙂
A thriving, remarkable home where determined, successful people train together
And achieve remarkable things…
Hope you had a great Easter
Dave
