‘I can have a treat today’….
Chocolate cake at lunch with coffee down the hatch…
‘Oooh, a bag crisps mid day, what the hell, I’ve been good all week’
McCoy original gobbled up
‘Go on lets have the garlic bread starter…I’ll have another beer…sod it I’ll have the pudding I’ve had a bad day, its just a day though, back on it tomorrow’
Add in the few extra boozey concoctions and your TREAT (non plural) has turned into TREATS
Body composition is important for everyone…
Not just if you want to look top notch, but if you’re involved in sports, like a runner (to maximise economy)
So does it matter if you’ve been a saint all week?
The example above tally’s up approx. 2500 calories of treats in a day
Throw in the other food like breakfast, lunch, main meal and you’ve probably hit an excess over 1500 calories for the day
And if you’ve created, through great nutrition and training, a surplus of 1500 calories in the week, guess what?
You’ve blown out your week!
That = no change in body fat
Plan my friend!
Yes you need a weekly treat…
So going out for a meal at the weekend?
Well keep the rest of the week and day sweet, then save the treat calories for something awesome at the table
NOT have treats in the week and then be like…
‘Oh the other half wanted to eat out at the weekend so I had no choice and then had to have the pizza, bottle of wine and knickerbocker glory with a flake in it’
Plan, use your common sense (I presume you have some!) 😉
