One BIG thing cripples success in fitness and performance related goals

The training programme which lasts for 2 weeks
The nutrition plan which fails after a few days
The sport performance which plateau’s
More than ever people want PB’s at warp speed
But your body ain’t the Starship Enterprise
Your physiology CAN IMPROVE to drive physical performance upward…
Remember that term Progressive Overload?
Well there’s a reason its called progressive…
It takes time, progression, step by step
And this requires not just patience
(a hugely under estimated quality!)
But what I call Patience with Application
The attitude of applying the processes to achieve your sporting goal
(the training, the nutrition, the recovery and lifestyle)
With the patience to keep on going and not quit…
Even though you’ve not turned into an international athlete overnight
Oooh it sounds so simple doesn’t it?
Well from my years coaching and mentoring, people, athletes and coaches…
The vast majority fail to do this…
Then their motivation wavers
And they’re no nearer to that goal
Take for example someone I knew who wanted to get fitter in their sport…
They knew EVERY detail to achieve this
They committed…but then nothing happened in 2 weeks
They lost patience, and gave up
This created a never ending process which ultimately led to NO IMPROVEMENTS
Hell take me!!!
I’m growing Coalition Performance, Solihull…
But why should I expect to suddenly hit my long term targets now?
I have to be Patiently Applying…
All those processes and things which will take me there
And not let the demons in my head demotivate me…
Cos’ I haven’t created the long term in the short term!
(and yes even I get the demons)
Like Rome, your body isn’t built to where you want it, in day
Accept this, and overcome this…
And achieve those records, PB’s and sporting ambitions
Ah, and before I forget
