Well, like with all those great people we coach at CP, I’ve had some recovery

 

Just like how to achieve gains in any fitness quality:

 

Recovery = supercompensation, which = results and gains

 

It’s a principle I firmly believe is true to all elements of performance, not just the physical.

 

So after 2 years of not having a week off, I had a week off in Teignmouth, Devon with the family, wonderful (despite the edgy British weather)

Take nutrition and protein intake…

 

A cheeky study from some Dutch scientists showed how taking 25g of protein before bed, when your strength training each week = nearly double the increase in muscle cross sectional area AND ~25% greater strength gains

A scientist with the glorious name Julius Fink recently published this killer piece of research…

 

He illustrated how using a high intensity strength training programme, versus medium and low caused much greater increases in recruitment and force production only in the HIGH intensity group
