Well we all have daily rituals…
A coffee, a stretch, a favourite parking space
And for one of our C.P team members its reading these emails each morning on the Karsie
(aha yes I know) 😉
But back on point early morning rituals are critical, particularly with training and nutrition
Want more strength? Want to be leaner? Want more fitness and robustness?
What does the research tell you…
Those who start the day with a breakfast of rice crispies and beroca are in trouble!
Ok maybe not that extreme…
But do you skip breakfast?
Not have much, or just go carb heavy?
Well the research shows YOU are immensely more greater to mess up your nutrition later in the day AND…
Not loose as much body fat over time or increase muscle mass for strength
Or maybe you have to train in the mornings?
If your ritual is to get out of bed, skip breakfast, and not mentally and physically prepare…
The benefit of that session is seriously blunted…
Mentally your less alert, which…
Dampens your ability to switch on as many nerves to the key muscles, AND THEN…
Reduces recruitment of the muscles and the force produce
Lower training performance, far less long term gains
Like me, your life is hectic
(today felt like a trip on the Blackpool Big Dipper)
But you need to put in place 1 or 2 rituals which doesn’t set you up to fail with your goals before you’ve even got started
Eat a quality breakfast (time isn’t an excuse, we’ve covered this recently as ways around it)
Nail a tea or coffee to increase mental drive and alertness
Don’t rush to training, give time to be early to get stretched and activated
More specific rituals are what we consider when supporting our members with their goals, as everyone is different in their daily life demands
You can contact us to chat about how we can support you in this so failure with your goals is not an option
