Some sad news

Maybe it will strike a cord with you?

My old player Anthony Allen (Leicester and England)

Who’s been down to Solihull and our Training Centre already…

Confirmed his retirement to the public yesterday

There’s only so much cartilage in the knee and that’s an issue as an athlete!

Thing is, despite this, ‘Tone’ just cracked on…

He even had compartment syndrome and had a lump of dead calf muscle removed

But he just kept focused

Didn’t moan and groan

Didn’t point the finger out of frustration

He was genuinely a dream to coach in and out of the gym

(type of person that we have in our team at C.P)

Just imagine…

Excruciating pain

Not being able to do the job you love

Problem after problem

No end in sight often

Uncertainty

But the result was he took his body as far as it would go

Remarkably he even managed to play in the European Cup a few weeks after his calf removal!

You like me and every other person often get down on ourselves

Today I’m feeling a bit sorry for myself as I’m tired

Boo bloody hoo!

End of the day, its nothing compared to what Tone went through

And he succeeded, fulfilled his ambitions and…

Will have piece in mind he did EVERYTHING he could

So smack yourself around the face (not literally!)

Get a grip

And remember the things which are holding you back from achieving through your training and nutrition…

In reality are unlikely to be issues or genuine excuses…

‘Im tired’…We all are

‘Works stressful’…As it is for most people

‘I’ve got kids’…So have I and most people I coach

‘I’ve not got enough time’…You make time for important things

The things you want to achieve with your body are attainable…

But not if your allowing yourself to believe the excuses your making

See things in perspective, reality, as they are

Commit to do all of your training

Commit to following the nutrition fundamentals you know you need to

Get to bed at a decent hour

Don’t believe the hype and excuses in your head

This might annoy you for being very honest…

But success requires it

If you don’t see that then I can’t help you (as you can’t help yourself)

If you DO see it, then speak to me here

Speak shortly

Dave
