Both me and my wife cook

And often the same thing

But…

 

Our recipes often differ a bit

(Bolognaise for example)

 

But the outcome is all good regardless

(well…)

 

So when it comes to exercises

Often the same kinda thing applies

 

Cos everybody thinks the back squat

Is the only recipe for a great exercise

(Don’t get me wrong it can be great!)

 

You probably see it…

The person at the gym trying to squat

But it looks like a train wreck

(Or one about to happen)

 

But there are other options

Many of which can some times be superior

 

Here’s 2 we use at C.P:

 

Front squat

Easier to get range of motion

(Deeper into with a flat lower back)

 

And we know that’s key to turn on the cell signals to get strength gains

 

Trap bar deadlift

Easy to get good range of motion

(Particularly if your ankles are beaten up from injuries)

 

Great if you have poor posture…

To get used to pulling your body into the right position

 

Remember…

 

The exercise is a tool to achieve the outcome, not the outcome itself…

 

You select the best tools to achieve this
