RECOVERY

But ask yourself this…

Before throwing the £££ at super tight leggings and miracle supps

Why’s recovery important to you in the first place?

 

Regardless of the training, recovery is the period after

This is where the magic happens

Where you get stronger, fitter, leaner, more athletic

 

Your training allows you to turn the dial up to cause physiological signals to start firing

These signals are what over time cause you to get gains

And the longer you can allow these to function…

The greater gains you get…

And this is what recovery allows

Done right you can get bigger bang from your training

(More return on your investment!)

This is what all the talk is coming from the researchers and scientists I speak and work with

 

So yeah your training is key but equally your recovery will dictate how effective it actually is

Now there are a number of things you can do to promote this

Things which are pivotal in the individualised training programme I design

And the mentoring I give you to transform your body, fitness and performance

Things which I was able to clarify through a world class boffin called Stu Phillips

(who Gatorade pay to research the body and training)

When I met him in the summer

So here’s one thing…

 

Ya know that thing called protein?

The thing which is more expensive than fuel

Well a whey protein supplement, rich in Leucine taken after training…

Is one very simple way to allow these training signals to last longer

But on top of that…

It will reduce the amount of delayed onset muscle soreness you have

(more on the DOMS in a later piece!)

 

So training is critical…but the time outside of this is also highly influential
