So this weekend I will mostly be…
Fitting our rubber floor at the C.P Training Centre
(yeah, living the dream!)
But it ain’t all that bad
Because at least I’ll be assisted by other good people
Its similar to training…
Ever trained with ‘drainer’?
The kind of whinning, complaining busy body?
Everything’s a chore
They can’t do anything without making a fuss
When if they listened…
And did the tasks required
Then they would benefit
But all they do is drag you and everyone else down
Its like a virus spreading
And you and everyone else suffers
One of the most common bits of advice I’m always told…
(including from our landlord who owns Becketts Farm)
‘Surround yourself with positive people, not sappers’
I’ve observed firsthand how one sapper…
Can completely derail the success of multiple other people
Maybe you have some at your club…
Or no doubt at your work place
But on the flip side
How about when you train with people who commit?
Who work hard and engage in their training?
Maybe someone who runs reps with you?
Or pushes you on a drill?
All this comes down to culture and environment
And the one thing I’m adamant in having at our training centre…
Is a zero sappers policy!
In fact, I spoke with someone who wanted to join our team
But they were clearly a sapper…
So I politely suggested this wouldn’t be a place they would benefit in joining
Nothing beats a success driven culture
It raises everyone’s efforts
And everyone’s results…
In how their body and mind develops with training
Wish me luck with the floor
